I don't know how they can keep up the premise from week to week w/out shaking up the formula. I like most of the cast. They seem to have good chemistry. But the negotiations all seem to run together - and it hasn't been on for a month.

The wife is on parole and it looks like she is starting to suspect something. Personally, that could be a problem for me. I would like the show to stay with just the robbery premise.

I didn't like this show much. The subject matter is good, but will get too repetitive. Ron Livingston bugs me with his constant grinning, even in serious situations.

I thought this episode was better than the first two. I was a little more interested in this case than the previous hostage negotiations in the first two shows.

In an attempt to distract them. Obviously didn't work all that well.

This 3rd episode was a lot better than the first 2. I really liked the Asian guy in Tokyo Drift. The only good thing about the movie. I was planning on sliding this down to if I'm bored status, but a few episodes like this one can bring the show to watch avidly status.

The premise of the show and the stories in the first two episodes are pretty dull, but the chemistry of the cast is excellent, and the chemistry between Ron Livingston and Rosemarie DeWitt is electric. For me this type of chemistry can save an otherwise average show. The X-files did everything they could in the early days to avoid the show becoming about their relationship, but Mulder and Scully were magic together and it made the show. Bones is another show that tried to avoid the relationship becoming the center of the show, but the amazing chemistry between Booth and Bones is making it tough. Its interesting that Standoff is trying to do both right off the bat, and its working because they are so good together. TV has never been better if you don't include reality TV, so even the average shows are pretty entertaining. I will keep watching for now. Thank god for Tivo and internet downloads or I could never keep up. 10 years ago, it was surprising if I even followed one TV show, now I'm trying to juggle 20.
