What did Denny call the doll - Shirley Schmidt-hole?
I'm a big MJF fan, but I just don't care for that character or storyline.
Sucks that Marlene left. She should be a regular.

You mean Shirley Schmidt-Ho.
Great episode - but how did the cops know about hands and the surrogate? It was not like they advertised where they were and she was retired so they should not have been staking her house/office out.

Schmidthoe was hilarious! Not enough Denny, but glad to have this show back on! Great stuff... and I agree that MJF was looking pretty rough and that storyline is kind of played out but I do like him anyhow... liked having judge Brown back and the "Nansy Pansy" reference. A good premiere.

we saw denny move up to yet another level of sleaze with that doll.
wish something would happen with alan shore and his assistant, melissa, I think. i guess they're saving that for later.
not a lot of laughs with this one and alan's speech about his mother was creepy.

It's good to have this show back for the zany it brings week-in, week-out. The Schmidt-SchmidtHol staredown was a classic scene.
The ending coda was a little sad, perhaps opening the door for both to explore true intimacy with other ladies this season.

I enjoyed it pretty much, but I agree that the MJF storyline is pretty played out. How many times will he be coming and then leaving anyway? God, how I love Parker Posey. She could have made Yes Dear worth watching. BTW : there were two of Christopher Guest's regular players in that episode (Posey and the insanely busy Jane Lynch as the surrogate).
Loved the preview for the next episode :

Maybe I missed something, but it seemed that they really toned down the Bush-bashing. There was Alan's rant about the DA trying to be the morality police. But where he normally would have thrown in references to Conservatives, the Religious Right or the "Current Administration", his comments instead seemed to be directed just at the DA. Was there something else I missed?

I'm hoping they keep the Bush-bashing to a minimum this season. If I wanted to hear a bunch of ranting and raving about how Republicans are responsible for everything that's wrong in this world, I'd change the channel to MSNBC.
