How do you disable macrovision?

I was "upgraded" without my permission to a Naxa NX-802 player when I purchased another player. This player does not allow me to record from macrovision encoded discs. Is there any way that I can disable the macrovision? If not, I'm returning the player as I'm not happy about being given another player without my okay.

They used to have something a little cheaper (SED-CM), but I can only find PAL versions online right now. I bought mine at Best Buy off the shelf.
