Wow Speedy, once again you're fast! Sorry to see none of the excellent horror releases that will be available 9/26 listed, but it is Target after all. Hopefully BB and CC will have some.

We've gotten words from our spies of a new item coming from Target later this month. Collecting the newly-released DVDs into a single set, this is said to be for sale at $32.99 regularly priced at $39.99. Look for a scan of the ad soon, but chalk this up as a rumor for now.

I think me, my mom, and dad should all buy FOUR 12 Packs Of Pepsi for $10 so I can get 3 $5 Target Gift Cards to buy Alan Jackson: Like Red On A Rose (CD / DVD) for $13.00 ;) 144 cans of soda and Alan Jackson CD for under $30 is not bad.

I've heard whispers for a while of another boxset emerging on the scene before Thanksgiving (kinda like a stealth bomb to further drive people crazy during that sales frame) but it was purported to be coming from a store that merely dabbles in DVD sales while selling lots of Computers each week across the USA but I did not think that it might be coming from Target.
We and the rest of the geeks talk about this stuff all the time it seems but nothing has come of it so far.
I'll start inquiring and turning over rocks to see what I find and I'll certainly post here at DVDTalk and CAG if something concrete emerges.

You'll have more than your fill of horror titles when October starts (if Video Business magazine is to be believed).

with the pepsi promotion could I not use the 5 dollar gift card to purchase another 4 twelve packs for 5 dollars and then be given another gift card, curious becuase we are having a party and would be great to cut beverage cost as we have about 80 people coming?

Should be nothing stopping you from this at all except pesky cahsiers, but just make multiple trips over the week or have someone(s) help out.

The Pepsi product deal is unbelievable in my mind.
Pretty good deal but there was a better one at the end of August. You buy four 12 packs at $10 and you get a $10 rebate. It was a Pepsi deal and various supermarkets (Tops, Wegmans) and little stores (Eckard/CVS) promoted this with either the rebate forms in their ads or had the rebate forms near the displays. (Heck, Tops even made the deal better by throwing in a free 24 oz 6 pack with a purchase of four 12 packs.) Sure it was one $10 rebate per household but we got around that by having the rebate sent to neighbors or relatives who don't drink pepsi so they wouldn't be interested in the deal, so we cleaned up. (We wounded up with 24 12 packs out of the deal-plus four 24 oz 6 packs.) Now I have to make sure they give us the $10 when the rebates come in! LOL!
LB...
Edit: The deal that Pepsi had was for Diet pop/soda only. Stores like Walgreens/Rite Aid had their own 4 12 packs for $10 with $10 rebate deal via their own customer rebate catalog. And you could get either regular or diet pop/soda with that deal. So if you didn't want to go the "cheater" route I did with the neighbors/relatives, you could have a couple of rebates sent to your house that way and then one from Pepsi.

Pepsi run this deal twice a year. Once for Labor Day and once for 4th of July. Just a heads up for anyone interested.
Walgreens was pretty good this year with $1 a bottle and with $1 off every 3 bottles coupon.

Pepsi is disgusting... in the south no one even serves it, which is why they practically have to GIVE it away. ;)

Just to let people know, I went to the Target in Greenville, SC this morning. They did not have the mentioned deal, but they had 12 pks for 3 for $7 ($2.33 each). I was a little disappointed, but still a good deal, I guess. :P So, this is YMMV. :)

The 4/$10 plus GC might be regional. My Target ad shows 5/$10 with no mention of a GC.
Speedy, thanks for all the DVD prices. Makes my planning for the weeks ahead a little easier.

It's also worth noting that this week's Target circular has one of their "Free $10 Gift Card with a New or Transferred Perscription" Coupons. These show up occasionally. I transfer the perscription, get the GC then transfer it back to another pharmacy and wait for the deal to show up again. They come in very handy with DVD specials. I was able to get "Veronica Mars, Season 1" and "Rescue Me Seasons 1 & 2" for $9.99 each by holding on to the gift cards until there was a good special.

No GC either in the Houston area. Still a good deal. I remember them having the same sale late August/Labor Day weekend back in 2003. Picked up some Pepsi & Mountain Dew flavors.
