Snakes, we hardly knew thee.

At least the DVD should be out by November at the rate it's going.

Damn, SoaP is actually a fun movie. Too bad. Hopefully it'll do well on video.

Yeah no more big box offices for a while.

Invincible should win this week. It's by far the best movie out of the new releases

Snakes must be setting a record for the biggest percentage drop ever for being the #1 movie the week before.

Although no one posted POTC2 numbers for Friday, I believe that it is now #6 Domestic gross ($404,635,000) and #5 Worldwide gross($926,100,000).

Dec. 5th, if rumors are true. I think POTC 2 comes out the same day, so more carnage for Snakes' revenues, I'm guessing.

Awesome, since Snakes on a Plane tanked at the boxoffice, that means it's still hip to reference it on Internet forums.

I think the public got wise the last time there was a movie with a lot of internet buzz that they know it's just hype. And that they may not like it which was the case with THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT.

No, from what it seems, most people are enjoying Snakes. Even the critics!

I seriously doubt very many people were making that connection. I'd never even thought about that until you brought it up.

It actually just turned out that people were only interested in talking about Snakes, not seeing it. The movie is doing about as well as people expected it to do before all the internet hype began.

I remember when I first was hearing about Snakes on a Plane, everyone said how it would be awful and wouldn't make money...Then the hype began about how it'd be a "so-bad-it's-good" film and would make tons of money and people would see it from sheer curiousity of how bad it was....Then the movie comes out, is actually a decent film (and extremely fun/enjoyable!) and nobody really cares.

Nothing too exciting this weekend. Super-Bombtacular numbers for How to Eat Fried Worms. I guess people didn't want to know. Snakes dropped a lot. Pirates of the Caribbean is finally out of the Top 10.

Really? Most of what I read was negative, citing hype vs. substance. Roeper panned it.

Damn! Is it really up to 23 mil so far? I didn't even realize it was playing in enough theaters yet to earn that kinda jack.
