Two more sales @ DDD... in case you're not flat broke yet!

Not nearly as hot as the TV box set sales they're having, but still good for filling out the collection...

Up to 80% off select Warner titles

and

50% off select Lions Gate titles

Start counting those pennies!

Stir of Echoes, Stargate, and the Ninth Gate - for under $5? Steal of a deal, especially the Ultimate Edition of Stargate.

I'd get some of those, but September is HUGE with so many awesome new releases, so I need to conserve on the old stuff.
But thanks anyway OP.
I didn't notice this on DDD...

Some nice stuff. I'd wanted to see Trees Lounge for awhile now.

Isn't Kickboxer a case of soft matte? I thought its OAR was 1.33:1?

Keep in mind that Trees Lounge is fullscreen only, and was originally filmed 1.85:1..

And Popcorn, check your email.

I think the original release was 1.85:1 widescreen (not sure about 16x9) tho that release has been OOP for awhile now. I thought the OAR was 1.85:1, though I could be mistaken.

I don't know about Lions Gate, but can anyone actually confirm that any of those Warner titles are priced lower than usual? I added a few to my wishlist when I saw them, but for those already in my wishlist everything was higher:

Price I had listed before the "sale" / Price now
THE CORRUPTOR $5.09 / 5.13
THE GYPSY MOTHS $5.09 / 5.13
THE GOONIES $8.48 / 8.55
DEAD CALM $5.09 / 5.13
SOYLENT GREEN $7.57 / 7.64
ICE STATION ZEBRA $8.48 / 8.55
MY BLUE HEAVEN/MAN WITH TWO BRAINS $7.57 / 7.64
THEY WERE EXPENDABLE/FLYING LEATHE $7.57 / 7.64

When I saw the sale prices I was getting ready to buy a few things, but then I looked back to a quick notepad document I had from a month ago with my wishlist and everything was cheaper. Does anyone see anything that they know is cheaper than it was, say, last week? Obviously there isn't much difference, but I don't really see the point of calling this a sale.

EDIT:
Unlike the Warner sale, the items in the Lions Gate sale are legitimately cheaper from what I can see...

Price I had listed before the sale / Price now
OPEN YOUR EYES $8.09 / 7.48
THE BIG SLEEP $9.28 / 7.48
THE LIMEY $6.18 / 4.99

Is it possible that DDD is just setting up the code for the Warner sale but hasn't dropped the prices yet? (It seems strange that they'd raise prices by $0.04 to $0.07 and call that a sale)

Yeah, I saw about 5 titles in the whole list that were even close to 80% off, and I think only one or two was really 80% off - that's kind of sheister-y, pilot episode of Dukes of Hazzard.

I thought that the Ultimate Edition of Stargate was widely hated because of a poor transfer or something like that...
