(im into dvds and some pc games. never had an xbox or ps or yadda yadda, grew up poor, whadever)
my question is... is $250 for a new xbox 360 console too good to pass? it seems really cheap, but im not too keen on prices. it is not a "core" system either.
any feedback would be appreciated :)

That's a good price if it's new and unopened. Retail for the premium system is $399. I'd just recommend getting the extended warranty that comes with it as they can be touchy sometimes. If it's a refurbished model without any kind of warranty then I'd stay away. You don't want to be stuck with an expensive paperweight.

The 360 is AWESOME..! And with a lot of Triple A titles coming this fall I doubt you'll wanna get rid of it.

I bought my premium system used with FN3 a while back for 300. I later on found one for a friend, it was a premium system, 2 games (PGR3/COD2) and 2 wireless controllers, for 310. Theres some great deals out there if you look. They arent on ebay tho, thats for sure!

If you know who you are dealing with then you will probably get a good deal, but as always if you get screwed on the deal its not like you will be able to do much about it. there is no place that would offer it at that price unless they stole it and are looking to unload it.

I don't know, with various deals, I've seen them going for as low as $280 from a retailer. $250 seems suspiciously low, but I wouldn't say it HAS to be stolen.

You never know. Some people just don't care to get full value for things.
2 cases in point. Had a friend give me an old PS2 network adapter, cause it wasn't working for him. He said it had no value to him since it wasn't working. Worked for me :)
Another friend, last year sold my girlfriend at the time, a slim PS2, controller, and Sony memory card for $50. He didn't need it, since he had a 360.
Never know.

I'd definitely recommend getting it. I paid $500 Canadian, plus tax, for the Premium Bundle. I love the system. Definitely try to get a warranty if possible.

im pretty positive its not stolen. its belongs to a friend of mine, but not that close. he doesnt need it or the money and figures he could do me a favor. i guess i should be suspicious in any case.
reading a little on net, its seems the xbox 360 can be finnicky so this warranty thing gets me a little concerned. 90 warranty? is that correct?!?
ill ask if he has a receipt just in case anything goes wrong. but if he doesnt, then i think i should pass ya?

The 90 day warranty is standard, but you have the option to purchase a 2 year warranty for $60.
Buy:
