"Kung Fu Hustle"...how is it with dubbing?

I don't usually watch foreign films with any kind of dubbing, but this one screams that maybe it will enhance or at least be more bawdy with it.

So is it good with the dubbing or still subtitles is best way to view?

I saw it dubbed and thought it was awful. The movie, that is; not just the dubbing. It probably is better in the original language with subtitles (most things are), but I can't imagine it being enough of an improvement to make me sit through it again.

Sorry, don't really mean to threadcrap, but I really didn't like this movie.

I caught it on cable dubbed and it was not good. They did an ok job casting the voices but it just isn't as funny hearing the lines from the actors.

And the movie is hilarious.

It's not too horrible with the dubbing. Of course, original language is always better, but I've heard far, far, far worse dubs than this movie. It's on occasionally on the HD movie channel here.

Great movie.

Watch it subtitled. Much better that way.

And yet you did anyway. Maybe you can show better self-restraint next time.

I agree with the recommendations to watch it subtitled. The dubbing is just distracting.

If you know how to read, then watch it with the subtitles. The movie is mainly about the action and visuals anyway. We're not talking about a very in depth picture here.

Which is why it doesn't matter if you watch it dubbed.

He asked how this movie was with subtitles, and I told him my opinion. It sucked. Piss off.

If I wanted to read, I'd have stayed in school.

It was wonderfully crappy. It enhanced the movie for me, because I love a crappy dub job on kung fu shows.

I saw this recently dubbed (after seeing it subbed three times) and it wasn't as terrible as it could've been.

TheMadMonk, threadcrapping is against forum rules and this follow-up was totally uncalled for. In the future, please don't post in the thread if you aren't actually interested in the topic.
