DVD Talk review of 'Just My Luck'

I read Eric D. Snider's DVD review of Just My Luck at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=23272 and... I do have to agree, the movie is just as bad as he says it is. Cring-worthy throughout, the entire idea is ridiculous, at best. The only remotely interesting parts of the movie are those which feature the band whom Chris Pine's character Jake is trying to help into the big time - a real life band, McFly who, while unknown in America are big in England. Their acting, it has to be said, is atrocious, but they really are good musicians, something this movie doesn't seem to put across. It suggest some blonde bimbo is capable of writing songs while they themselves don't seem to be exactly talented at it - while in fact the said song was really written by the band. If you come away with anything from this movie, remember them - but honestly, don't judge them by their acting. They're not actors, and they'll freely admit to that.
