You should have made this multiple choice and included the Twins.
Anyway, I think the Red Sox will fall short.

I'm a Red Sox fan and doubt if they make the playoffs this year.

As of right now, it looks like the Red Sox. This weekend's series could be huge for either team. If one can win 4 out of 5, a 3 game swing could win that division either way.

I find it strange that the Twins were left off, being that they're only 1 game back from the White Sox, while the Red Sox are two games back.
I'm from Minnesota, and a big Twins fan, but I am really doubting that they're going to be able to make the playoffs without Liriano. Even if they do make it, I'm pretty sure they won't do much. With him in the rotation, they had two premier (Liriano and Santana) starters and one good (Radke) one, which would have made an interesting series with just about anyone.

The Twins were my AL wildcard pick, but without Liriano it wont be easy.
White Sox are looking horrible, Contreras/Buehrle/et al had better get their act together.
I'm hoping the wildcard won't come from the East this year (unless by some miracle it's Toronto)

White Sox and Red Sox - that's if Liriano comes back.

Of those, I don't see the White Sox making it. In fact, I'd see the Twins winning the wild card even sans Liriano. But I'd take the AL East over the White Sox at this point.

I voted Tigers because I refuse to believe.

As a White Sox fan,
I refuse to answer on the grounds that the angst of watching the finish of this season is going to knock years off my life and at this point, making predictions only makes it worst.
