HOSTEL 2 gets its leading ladies

It was just announced that the three actresses starring in Hostel 2 are...

Lauren German, the girl who blows her head off in the beginning of the Texas Chainsaw remake.

Bijou Phillips

and Heather Matarazzo, from Welcome to the Dollhouse.

Somehow, Bijou came to mind when I first heard that Hostel 2 was going to be about 3 ladies.

I like Heather Matarazzo. Don't really know Lauren German.

Did she get blacklisted after coming out? The only reason I can think that she would do this a nmovie like this.

I'd rather see Heather get naked. (I find it highly erotic when women, such as Heather, who aren't "conventionally attractive" have the confidence to display their bodies.) And then Lauren German.

If Bijou wants to take her clothes off, I'll gladly look, but I've already seen all of her shit in Bully and her Playboy spread.

I'll go see it if it's about three dong-hound chicks looking for action lured in by hot Eastern European men. Plus, to be fair, it will have to include plenty of male full frontal nudity.

The chick's must be useless obnoxious assholes just like the dudes from the first one. Plus, Jay Hernandez's character must die a gruesome death at the beginning.

Funny, I saw Heather Matarazzo's pics, I I'm like "hmm....", checked IMDB, and sure enough, I remember her from the sexually abused schoolgirl from Devils Advocate!

I was just pissed that Jay didn't have much screen time in 'World Trade Center' -

So has the film even started shooting yet? Last time I checked, Lionsgate wants the film out in January like it's predecessor.

Roth already said that won't be happening, claiming it won't even be done until Spring '07.

"... I will have the film ready late winter/early spring, so they can release it any time from that point on. We all want to make a great film, so that's our focus right now, not racing to make a deadline because it had been previously announced."

I liked the first Hostel, I'm not so sure I really want another one. I'll see it, but probably not in the theater, like I did with the first.

I'm ok with the T&A.

T&A never hurt a horror or splatter movie. Remember when it was the norm?

^^Yep. Baby steps, though. At least we're getting away from all this PG-13 kid-friendly horror shit that has been the rage the past few years.

How about "HOSTEL 2 gets decent script and competent director".

I thought Hostel was a huge improvement for Roth over Cabin Fever. I would like to see him doing something other than Hostel 2, but maybe he can make it interesting.

I never got the hate for Hostel, it had the requirements for a good horror flick - moral issues, gore, tits, and plot, and I thought the execution was fine (save for some bad super imposed shots and those damn kids). And I loved the little "homage" to Suicide Club.

The funniest part being all the complaints of nudity, when I finally saw the movie I expected it to be a skinamax feature, sadly there really isn't THAT much nudity, just a good variety of it.

Then maybe, just maybe, I would consider giving this one a shot. Maybe.
