08/14/06 - Weeds Season 2 Premier - Corn Snake

Nancy must choose between her budding business and her new DEA agent boyfriend. Before gaining acceptance to rabbinical school, Andy must win over the sexy admissions officer. A fluke accident spurs Celia to run against Doug for city council.
I can't wait for this! The first season's finale was awesome.

The first 4 episodes are available in the usual places

This episode was pretty good. It picks up right where last season ended with Nancy in the DEA coat. The scene at Celia's house where she's having her meeting about running for city council is hilarious.

Elvis Costello sings "Little Boxes" in the opening.

Any Weeds fans? S2 premiere tonight (8/14)

"Corn Snake" Episode #201:
Spoiler:

Nancy needs to make a choice; Andy needs to impress the admissions officer; Celia runs against Doug for city council.

It's been gone so long, I'm hoping that it won't take me too long to get back into it. Also hoping they don't change directions, add any (more) kooky-neighbor-type characters, etc.

Looks good. The first few eps are already on torrents. Also the theme song has...changed. Its sung by a different person every episode. Tonight is Elvis Costello (I think)

I watched the episode yesterday from my DVR.

I don't remember why Andy was trying to get into rabbinical school.

To get out of being sent to Iraq. I guess he had joined the reserves and was called up. He did some research and found that the only way he could get out of it is if he was studying to be a member of the clergy.

I added Showtime back to my DirecTv line-up just for this show. I also saw that Showtime is running a Brotherhood marathon this Saturday, so I hope to catch up on that show as well.

After Weeds wraps up I will probably drop Showtime again until the L-Word comes back in January.

I saw the Brotherhood marathon as well. Is it worth a watch?

Weeds is a great show - especially if you love, well, weed. The show has a really unique feel that I can't put my finger on. Kind of surreal.

Regardless, it's a fun, occasionally very funny, show.

Can't wait till I can catch some of the season 2 episodes. The end of Season 1 left a lot of promise open for some good stories.

I'm still upset that Showtime cancelled Huff though.

I thought the premiere was hilarious. This season looks like they're going to be really getting Nancy deeper into the business... loved Celia running for council and best line of the night was when Celia and her friend were discussing stripper fitness class:

"Kenneth doesn't like me to do it because he thinks I'll go lesbo on him like when I took folk guitar".
