Dont remember much about it except that it was about a young (12-14 years old) boy travleing from the south to I believe New York city. (or maybe the reverse). He was traveling with a horse and got some help from people that he met along the way. He may have also been traveling with a sibling. The boy had a VERy heavy southern accent.

The movie isnt that old, maybe 10 or 12 years.
