"the Phoenix" tv series 1982

Anyone remember this shortlived scifi show fro the early 1980"s. I dont think it lasted more than half a season. As I recall it was similiar to the starman tv series that came out a few years afterwards. Anyone have this on video?

I do. It was with Judson Scott who was in The Wrath of Kahn.
I watched it but dont remember much about it.
Did he have an amulet or something?

It was just another in a long line of "stranger wanders, doing good deeds for people while being followed by sinister forces" shows. They keep trying to make these things too.

The only thing I remembered about it was at one point he noticed a kid playing the Phoenix arcade game.

I do remember this... I saw them all. Which apparently wasn't hard, since the IMDb says that there was a pilot movie, followed a year later by only 4 episodes.

As I recall, the episodes were pretty typical of genre TV at the time. Being with strange powers, pursued by government agents, who is learning to adapt, and helping out the 'common folk' against evil cattle rangers and the like. Kind of like The Incredible Hulk with a mystical space alien instead of a green monster.

Some details and a couple of pics here: http://colleen_a.tripod.com/js/judson.html

Same here. I remember the guy from Wrath of Kahn and I remember him playing the arcade game while the amulet was glowing, but that's pretty much it.

Didn't Judson Scott appear later in a few X-Files episodes?

SOUNDS LIKE IT. i THINK IN ONE EPISODE HE FINDS HER, BUT BEFORE SHE IS AWAKEN, SOMETHING HAPPENS AND SHE ENDS UP DISAPEARING AND HIDDEN SOMEWHERE ELSE IN SUSPENDED ANIMATION. WOULD BE NICE IF SCIFI CHANNEL WOULD AIR THESE, OR MAYBE THERES OLD VIDEOTAPES FLOATING AROUND THE INTERNET.

I have a tape with a really long ABC promo for The Phoenix and Joanie Loves Chachi, and a couple of other shows I can't remember right now... I think it was taped around March 82.
