Firefox Woes! (where are the buttons??)

I've found a bit about this searching, so don't start.

I've just started using Firefox. DVDTalk forum does not display: last post button, edit/quote buttons, and post new reply/thread buttons. So, the big question is: WHAT THE HELL?

ads.kleinman.com is not blocked by Adblock. In fact, I've tried "Whitelist this whole site" to no avail.

It gets better. I tried using the IE Tab plugin, to load the site with IE, but my cookies are gone. I can't log in. I have a new password sent, I still can't log in! WTF?!?!

The old threads I found didn't seem to come up with a concrete solution. What am I missing? Firefox users, what's going on?

Well, I am using Firefox and have absolutely no idea what you are talking about! Whatever it is it must be on your end because I have my "quote"/"edit" buttons available.

Do you run the updated version (Firefox did a massive update about 2 weeks ago...at least that is when the update-news came to my PC).

Ciao,
Pro-B

that's unfortunate egon's ghost. i've never had any problems with firefox and don't know how i'd surf the web without it. to me it sounds like an issue with you cookie settings, but i doubt that's the problem since you're missing images. maybe look under tools/options/content at your settings for 'load images' and under 'exceptions'.

When you use IE, do the buttons show up? If not, check your hosts file in C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc

I think this thread has the answer: http://forum.dvdtalk.com/showthread.php?t=417305

There's a specific key in Adblock that blocks some sites including ads.kleinman.com so although you removed the ads.kleinman key from Adblock but still have that particular key, the buttons is still being blocked by Adblock.

THAT did it! Thanks! This whole time I've been looking in Adblock.

Anyone using ZoneAlarm, go to the Privacy section and there is an Ad Blocking section in there. I just turned it off and it worked.

I just installed Norton Internet Security. I can't find the whitelist. Can someone give me directions?
