SM4 unrated edition

anyone like scary movie 4? The dvd is supposed to come out later this month with roughly 2 hours of extra stuff, not sure exactly what though aside from deleted scenes. I hope zucker gives his take on the first 3 scary movies and how he wanted to kind of change the humor in the movie in some ways, its all still low brow but i saw some political humor in there. The jabs at tom cruise were hilarious.

By far the worst one of the bunch, though I will still pick it up.

Ditto, but probably going to hold for for the HD-DVD version in a few months.

I dislike it almost as much as I dislike thread titles that use uncommon abbreviations.

I agree the second one kinda fell out for me I didnt laugh nearly as much as I did at the fourth and first ones. I think maybe thats why we didnt see the wayans in the last 2 movies they got new directors and writers in there, david zucker is a comedy legend so his direction was part of the reason the 4th was so great.

Just a warning for anyone who hasn't picked this one up yet. Wal Mart has an exclusive bonus disc.

I was returning my rented copy tonight when I noticed that King Kong is on the cover, but if I remember correctly, he's not in the movie. What gives?

Heh heh...I noticed the same thing when I returned my copy last night. I remember a scene from the trailer where you see King Kongs hand touch Carmen Electra when she's tied up.

I sort of blazed through the deleted scenes but dont remember it being in there.

That carmen electra scene is from the romantic comedy spoof Date Movie. I was wondering why king kong is on the box for SM4 also though.

I never saw Scary Movie 4... but from the previews it looks like it turned from parodying scary movies to blatant sketch comedy about anything pop culture. Tom Cruise, Brokeback Mountain, etc. Why is it even called Scary Movie anymore?

Nope, nothing in the deleted/extended scenes. Weird.

Kong needs any work he can get.

I can't believe Walmart has the balls to call it a "bonus disc" and then charge an extra five bucks. Anyway, do you happen to know what's on the bonus disc?

Well, MSRP is $29.95, so in theory, even if it's $19.95, and there's a single disc @ $14.95, it's a "bonus". Bonus, by definition, isn't implied as "free".

Back in early 2005, Walmart exclusive bonus discs, that featured extra bonus content related to the featured film, were "free". I remember picking up Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, with a Walmart exclusive bonus disc, without having to pay an extra $5.

Currently, to my knowledge, Walmart seems to be the only retailer to charge extra for exclusive content during their sales.

Yeah pretty funny movie. I liked the first 3, so I thought I'd pick up the 4th. I was really surprised at how good it was. I loved the spoof on the Grudge and Saw - those were hilarious!

They should call it Mad TV The Movie. But Mad TV has the advantage of their targets of parody not being old hat when they air.

Even the spoofing of horror films is played out. The ZAZ films, Naked Gun and Hot Shots films were funny because they mostly parodied cliches of the genres they targeted. They weren't just a string of specific movie references.

I finally got a chance to watch it last night (from Netflix).

I'm pretty surprised that it doesn't have closed caption, I was forced to use the subtitle and it felt like I'm watching foreign movie! I mean, WTF??
