XBOX live 360 connection problems (modem related)
Ok, here is the situation. I have comcast internet and phone. The modem that I have has a 20 hour back up, so i can't really power it down. When I pull the plug it stays on. So I want to connect but I can't. I called Microsoft and they said I had to let the battery run down for the full 20 hours, but can you imagine if I try to switch it would take days. Does anyone have any other solutions or has anyone encountered this? PLease let me know.

Slighty off topic, anybody know why my live would drop out when my cordless phone is in use?
I know what you are thinking, but my 360 is actually connected via CAT5 to the wireless router, which is direct wired to the modem. I can understand the wirelesss, but the wired?
Does the router just quit trying if there is wirelss interference?
BTW, it is a D-Link, but I am unsure of the model.

Though I never heard of the cordless phone effecting a wired connection, it most certainly does effect a wireless connection.
I have a D-Link router as well and when I had a 2.4 GHz phone, when it was in use, I'd lose my wireless signal. I upgraded my phone to a 5.8 GHz and haven't had an issue.
It might be phone interference.

I believe it is 2.4 Ghz, and I can live with the dropping of the wirelss (until this phone dies, then I will upgrade)
I just can't figure out why my hardwired signal drops.
