Amazon & Toys 'R Us no longer affiliated as of 7/1/06
This kinda came as a surprise to me (not so much to a friend who used to work at Toys), but I got this letter the other day:
"Hello from Amazon.com and Toysrus.com.
We're writing about your order from the co-branded
Amazon.com/Toysrus.com store listed below:
<order #'s>
At this time, it appears that one or more items in this order will not
be available for shipping, and we have cancelled the unavailable
item(s) from your order. We apologize for the inconvenience.
As of July 1, 2006, the Toysrus.com website is no longer affiliated
with Amazon.com. During the change in the relationship between
Amazon.com and Toysrus.com, inventory and availability estimates can
change very rapidly from one day to the next. Unfortunately, in spite
of all of our efforts, there will be some unforeseen fluctuations in
our availability estimates.
Thank you for shopping at Amazon.com and Toysrus.com.
Sincerely,
Customer Service Department"
This really annoys me as the items I ordered were in stock, but were also placed on an order that had items I was waiting on. But now, all the orders are cancelled, and I'm just out of luck. Amazon has really been a pain lately!
