Fabulous. I thought the duplicate footage caused the clip to be overly long and really showed the budget of this production.

Maybe the length/number of lives is typical for the traditional game? Any classic game fans know?

My guess is that they played a game and captured the sound/image. They used the sound and recreated the image.

So yeah, it's probably reasonably authentic.
