UK 'The Office' to visit US 'The Office' Next Season
http://smallscreen.monstersandcritic...0The_Office%60
I liked both, so sounds like it will be interesting to see how they come up with a plot to work this in.
The stars of the NBC series 'The Office' will be visited next season by the actors who played their roles in the original British version of the show.
The New York Post reports Ben Zimmerman, the executive producer of NBC's 'Office,' has said that some cast members from the BBC version of the show will appear in an episode of the U.S. comedy.

Original Stars To Visit 'The Office'
The British stars of the original The Office show are set to visit the US version of the hit comedy to shoot cameo roles. Ben Silverman, who executive produces the American version of The Office for NBC, claims employees of Slough, England paper company Wernham Hogg could find themselves sharing an office with Scranton, Pennsylvania company Dunder Mifflin. Silverman tells the New York Post newspaper, "There's a lot of love between (the casts and crews) of the two versions of the show. Expect some cameos from the UK paper company." While Silverman refuses to name which stars will be appearing, he does say the show's creator Ricky Gervais, who played cringe-worthy boss David Brent in the UK version, won't be on the US comedy anytime soon. He says, "We're going to save the big man for now."

YES YES YES! I remember saying back when this whole thing started that I really wanted to see something like an International Paper Convention where the US cast would be walking and run into the UK cast in a Bizzaro-Seinfeld type of encounter. They would just stare at each other and then keep walking as if nothing happened. This sounds much better. Too bad there's no plans for Gervais and, by extension, David Brent, but I'm excited as hell.

They should really spread it out. Maybe give us something like a paper convention with both Tim and Gareth, but save Dawn, Keith, and the rest to pop up in other episodes.

it makes sense for no David Brent, since he isn't working in paper the last we saw, and he would have no reason to be in the Dunder-Mifflin office. Unless he was rehired for some idiotic reason, that is.

They should switch to a live studio audience for these episodes, so everytime there's a cameo from the UK version there can be wild applause while the guest star mugs for the camera.

EDIT: Silly me, Gareth would have organised it, I forget he's British and they have trouble spelling.

I for one hope they make this crossover episode a supersized one, if not a whole hour/ 2 parter.
