What's the earliest season of The Simpsons that you own?

For me it's season 2.

I started from the beginning, though I'll probably be dead by the time the last season rolls around

I started at S1 because the completist in me forced me to.

I gave up caring by S3 or S4. Eventually I will get the rest of what's out there, but I am just not in the rush I once was too.

Uh, is this a trick question? Season One, of course. How can you not own the first season?

S2. S2 is when the show "went good".

Season 1 > Season 2

S1 is so underrated and really funny.

I only own my favorite season, which is Season 4. I really don't plan on buying any others.

I think I own 1-4, and I've stopped buying them now. There are going to be too many, and while I like the show...I enjoy other shows more.

Season 4. Season 1 just doesn't hold up for me that well, although I might pick up 2 or 3 if I find a good enough deal.

Season 1 is great, it's just more story driven than later seasons.

Mrs. Danger found S1 on the path when she was taking pictures of sand and cactus on the West Mesa. True story.

The extras alone are worth the price for every season, IMHO.

Me: Season 1

S1.
Have them all up to Homer's Head, but haven't watched it yet. And because I'm at least a season behind in viewing, I'm not in a real hurry to get caught up with the more recent releases.

Season 1 is great, but the animation is more primitive and the characters (aside from Bart) hadn't been fully developed yet. In retrospect it doesn't compare as well to the years that followed.

So far there are 3 voters who started with season 2 and I have to wonder if this is why they skipped the first season and were they old enough back then to remember what an overnight sensation the Simpsons were?

I picked up 3-5 at the recent Sam's Club deal.. I'm in no hurry to go for the others but I would like Season 2 at least for the Lisa's Substitute episode.

I can't fathom not having a complete run of the series.

Only own season one, because I got it for $12 a few years ago.
