Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle Earth - Yay or Nay?
I think it comes out this week and was kind of wanting a new, 360 game that was decent. Any reviews out on this yet?

I'm curious to a good review as well. I did a few searches but only found a semi review on gamespot, and all the others were previews.
I did read that the console version was designed for a console, and not a port over from the pc, so that's good news. I'd really like a good console rts, and I dig the LOTR world so, we'll see.

I've read a lot about it, because I've been anticipating its release for a while. They supposedly put a lot of work into the 360 version, and it supposedly utilizes the 360's controller very efficiently. The game will also support the highest definition character models from the PC version.
I plan to buy it, but some people seem to be against buying RTS games for consoles. To each, their own.

hmm, no one else tried this out yet? heres my mini-review:
The game controls great for a console RTS, easily the best ever. Thats about it though...the framerate is terrible and gives me a huge headache running at 15fps or so. This is after the patch that apparently fixes it? The game also requires little to no skill, as you just build up a few squads of troops and let them sit and auto attack whatever comes to kill your base...repeat and win the level. Also, there are powers and heros to level up but they are useless, I already completed the entire good campaign withought using any of them.
Oh well, yet another game to add to the 360's tremendous game library

I just finised the good campaign. I think it was done really well. The controls work perfectly but it's still not as good as playing a RTS on a PC (I never played BfME on PC but have played Warcraft and AoE to death). I used the heros and mostly the powers throughout the whole game. That final level would have been much harder without the higher level powers. The game isn't for everyone but I'm looking forward to starting the evil campaign.
