How long until The Hills Have Eyes (2006) Special Edition?
I just picked this up from Best Buy and the packaging is cool and it's a kick ass movie, but NO DELETED SCENES?! I only paid $12.59 for it (after $5 RZ coupon), but I just know that there is going to be a 2 disc version later this year.

I honestly don't think there's going to be a double-dip anytime soon of significance.
Aja has mentioned in numerous interviews that the unrated cut was 2-3 minutes longer and the main extra would be the 50-minute documentary.
Unlike other Fox releases, for a single-disc release, the current edition has quite a bit of material. An unrated cut, two commentaries, almost 70 minutes of behind-the-scenes footage, and a music video. What else could they add for a film that barely cost $15 million to make and that had barely a year's worth of time from pre-production to release?

Like the other two posters mentioned, I doubt that there will be a special edition for this film like Fox has done with others (i.e. i Robot, etc.). I just don't think that there is enough of a mainstream market for this film to be given such treatment.
