MGM titles for $5 at Compusa B&M and online

I went to Compusa today. They had a small section for several MGM titles for 5 bucks each. I got Blue Velvet (Special Edition), Last Tango in Paris, and Straw Dogs. These were around $7 on DDD during the sale.

Some other titles I saw were the Lover, Wings of Desire, Desperate Hours and many others. You can also check online.

Good price on Blue Velvet. I'll check it out. How's CompUSA's shipping charges? Any coupons?

I got it directly from the store. I know that there is free shipping with minimum order $150. Otherwise, I have no idea how much they are charging for a DVD.

Online shipping seems to be $5 fixed. Not a good deal if you just pick up few items.

Thanks, OP.

I picked up a copy of Hackers (hey, it's a guilty pleasure ) this afternoon. Saved a few $ over even the DDD 20% sale prices...

Thanks OP. Picked up Last Tango in Paris and Judgment at Nuremberg this morning for $5 each.

Of course, there was no display up listing the sale prices, nor were there any prices on the DVD's themselves, so if not for this thread, you'd have no idea these were $5 each.

CompUSA in Fairfax, VA had these titles displayed in an MGM cardboard standup with maybe 6 or so of each title. They were marked $5.00 with standard white stickers.
Not counting the titles that I already own and don't remember as being in this deal ('In The Heat of the Night' is one) these are the best of the group:
$14.94 Straw Dogs
$14.94 Last Tango In Paris: Uncut, Uncensored Version
$14.94 Blue Velvet: Special Edition
Also, these are cute but aren't 'Great Films'
$14.94 So I Married an Axe Murderer
$14.94 Dirty Work
I'm going to blind-buy a bunch that i'm just curious about checking out.

Oh. And if you're looking at something to jerkoff to, I'd suggest:

$14.94 Flesh and Blood
$14.94 Original Sin: Unrated
$14.94 The Lover
$14.94 Last Tango In Paris: Uncut, Uncensored Version

That's one of the more interesting ways to start a recommendation that I've seen.

Well, it's a logical extension of his earlier post that:

"Awesome! $5 DVDs make me hard!!"
