Looks like CC is giving Blu ray some nice coverage and an enticing promo. Thanks for the continual efforts, speedy.

Even though I'm not buying any HD format for a while, that BD promo does sound decent.

Thanks for the prices, Speedy. Does Circuit City actually refer to Blu Ray as Blu Ray DVD? Because Blu Ray is not DVD, really.

At any rate, if I had the money, I'd be all over that Nintendo DS Lite! I want one, so bad, because of the New Super Mario Bros.

Also, I'm a little unclear about the Blue Collar Comedy section. You've got $20 $6 listed. Is it both for $26, or just $20?

It is 2 for $20 on that.

Well, CC actually adds a hyphen to the name.

Example: "Blu-ray(tm) is here"

No problem my friend.

I gotta say that I feel a stronger marketing push by CC for Blu Ray.

We'll obviously see what happens.

Thanks a bunch Doc Brown. Glad the Delorian is still in tip top condition. Looks like my only purchase will be Beauty Shop which I've been on the fence about but for $10 w/free moviecash it's a sale.

Up until June 13th I've been buying dvds like crazy (2-6 every single week for the last buncha months). I was just looking at the dvd release schedule & the only new releases I'm sure to get between today & August 29th are Hudson Hawk SE 7/24, A Fish Called Wanda SE on 8/1 & Grumpy Old Men Double Feature 8/8. I'll be saving for a big 8/29 & then a huge September & rest of the year. I couldn't believe how slim the next 2 months are. After that though things'll change. Plus there are sure to be a catalog title or two on sale here & there for the next 8-9 Tuesdays.

$25 and $28 each for Blu-Ray movies?! No thank you. I know the prices are going to drop, but that's insane.

No mention here or Target about the Strangers with Candy-Complete Series. Hmm, hope it's not too going to be hard to find or grossly over-priced in stores. I really didn't want to order it so that I could begin watching it the night of release.

Thanks for the prices!

Keane is 9.99 release wk, but 8.99 the following... makes perfect sense.

And no, I won't make a special trip to price match a dollar...

Thanks for the prices though. Blu-Ray is finally here! I'll be all over it for the Nov DDD sale...

Wow, another off week. I haven't bought more than 10 "new release" DVDs this year, I don't think.

Just Dashboard Confessional for me, and maybe matching the price on the Keane CD, which I'll be buying this week, when I think it is $10.

Hey Speedy, go ahead and post next week's Best Buy prices.

Also, I understand that Best Buy has an exclusive cover for The Hills Have Eyes. Could you post a pic of the cover? I'd like to see what sets it apart from the "normal" cover so I can decide where I want to buy it.

It would be hard to post a pic because the exclusive cover is similar to the new "Saw" dvd with the blood pack cover in a jewel case.
