Wow, this really sucked! I'm a huge fan of the Bruce Timm and Paul Dini DC series, and this DTV crapped all over it. First, there were all those different voice actors for Brainiac and Luthor. Then both of them are played like buffons. The dialogue was terrible and the story had so many plot holes. Thank God it aired on Cartoon Network. Now i know not to buy it.

I didn't like it either. Pretty sad effort really.

How the hell did I miss this? At least we have the "real" Superman voice back, and not the guy who has been doing it on Justice League.

I posted about it, and then I missed it. Sounds like it wasn't a great loss, though.

Dah-yum. Apparently Bruce Timm and crew are the only ones who know how to do superheroes over at WB anymore.

They coulda saved a lot of money by just reshowing a bunch of old Super Friends episodes.

I didn't watch it but I'm curious to know where it fits into the JL continuity?

It fits somewhere in the Superman series before Darkside brainwashed him.

I agree with those that said this "movie" sucked. The voices for Luthor and Brainiac were all wrong and didn't fit with the characters. The writing was horrible. The dialogue was multi-cringe worthy. I was really looking forward to it and was severely disappointed.

Was this made like years and years ago when TAS was on and just now released?

My god, it was bad.

Let's see the good stuff:
Tim Daly as Supes (much better than the guy from Justice League)
Dana Delaney as Lois Lane
Decent DD 5.1 sound

The bad:
Pretty much everything else.

I was just thinking the same thing.

I take it no one had a positive reaction to it?

A positive reaction? Not from me. This was truly horrid.

It really bugs the crap out of me too. I don't expect these DTDVD (or whatever you want to call them) movies to be Citizen Kane, but there is no reason that they should be this awful either. I had thought the Avengers movie from a few months back was terrible, but in comparison it deserves an Oscar.

The Avengers wasn't that bad. They had to set up the team coming together, so that wasted alot of time during the movie that could've been spent on action scenes.

You're right, it wasn't that bad.

But it should have been better than "not that bad."

Very Very disappointed with Brainiac Attacks. I almost quit watching it halfway through mainly due to Lex Luthor acting like an idiot. The characterizations were way off for Luthor and Brainiac. I also noticied some continuity errors. The producers must not have watched Superman: TAS for background reference.

Thank God I didn't buy this one. Now I can go watch some quality animated Superman with the Superman: TAS Vol 3 set!

Take care all!!
