DVD Talk review of 'Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang'

I read Scott Lombardo's DVD review of Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=22155 and...sounds like a good movie/DVD, thanks Scott.
Does anyone think a better edition will come along with this? I was interested in picking up, but with paltry extras and double dip fever running rampant, i may hold out.

Thanks for the kind words Scott1598. As far as seeing a double-dip in the future for Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang, I'd say it's very unlikely. First of all, I don't think Warner Bros supported the film much to begin with and that shows in the lack of extras on the current DVD. Also with the HD-DVD version coming out on 6/20, I don't think you'll see another incarnation of Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang, especially on standard def DVD.

The only way I think you could see a double dip is if Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang sells really well on DVD and WB's thinks they can milk more cash out of the consumers.

Scott....just read your review of KKBB and it was perfect! You brought out so many great points in the movie. Warner Ind. or the distributor certainly did it a great injustice by limiting it's release so drastically. I have so many friends all over the US who didn't get a chance to see it....and finally, now they will. It was the best movie I have seen in a long time....funny, sweet, sad, smart and so much more ...... the best thing about it was Robert Downey Jr! His narration was so clever....so like him ...... and the one liners between Downey, Kilmer and Monaghan were the funniest, the best. I know if this film had been shown on 1000 screens it would easily have made way more than the 15 mil it took to make it. Just don't understand their thinking.
Thanks so much for your very thoughtful, intelligent review. Joyce

ps.... my DVD should arrive today!! Can hardly wait to see it again...for the 5th time....and there will be many more. You can't just watch it once!

Heliosphann - I realy liked your review. It's not too long, not too short, just right. And I like the way you write too! I noticed you have done only 4 so far, but hopefully will be seeing more output from you. Keep up the good work.

Oh, this is the movie that every serious dvdtalker needs to have in their collections, otherwise it would be incomplete. What can I say, it's not the best, but my favorite movie from last year!

Purchased KISS KISS, BANG BANG blind. Loved it, but I know it's not for everyone. Robert Downey, Jr + Val Kilmer + Corbin Bernsen = SNL punchline. Throw Shane Black's script and directing in the mix, and you get a memorable, quirky comoirdy.

I watched it with a friend last night and loved it, so I bought it today. It's definitely worth watching.
