I am suffering from movie withdrawl. It seems like May has most of the movies I want to see this summer. I went to see MI3, Poseidon, Da vinci Code and X3. Now there seems to be no movies coming out til Superman Returns. Then Pirates 2 and maybe Miami Vice and then that's probably it. I have no interest in Over the Hedge, Cars, Fast and the Furious 3, Omen, Break Up, Click, etc. It seems like a weak group of movies for June. I know Cars will make a ton of money but does anybody without kids and/or animation maniac that excited by a kids film even if it's from Pixar. I'm not knocking it but not of any real interest to me, it's a dvd movie. summer seems very frontloaded, action short in June. nothing exciting. Anybody else feel the same or are their titles your excited by.

Yeah, I know what you mean. It's almost like they anticipated that X-Men 3 would rake in so much money, that they didn't want to put up any big-budget action movies to go up against it in the succeeding weekends until Superman.

Not me, I will pretty much see most films listed to be opening this month and next month.

Yep same for me, two in June, two in July, and that's it till....007 in Nov. I'll possibly see Lady in the Water if the reviews are good. M Night has to win me over after the Village.
I'm actually pretty movie'd out, and have some catching up to do as well. So no complaints here.

Nacho Libre has quickly gone from "I'll probably see it if I have spare time" to probably an opening night must-see for me. I don't know what it is, but those recent trailers are hilarious, and every time Jack Black says "these are my recreation pants" it kills.

Yes, I know what you mean, but there will be a surpirse in there or two this summer, and A Scanner Darkly is a must see. I'm curious about Southland Tales, maybe Fincher's Zodiac will be out to grace us, and Nacho Libre has underdog written all over it. Typical summer films otherwise, but I'll take them while I can, plus this summer's dvd releases will fill the voids...

I'm still really excited about Superman, POTC 2, Nacho Libre, and Lady in the Water. I'm interested in Miami Vice, SOAP, and Clerks 2. And have mild interest in The Omen, Click, Cars, and FF 3.
But to me, this Summer definitely isn't as fun as last year's lineup.
Next Summer sounds promising with Spider-man 3, POTC 3, Bourne Ultimatum, Evan Almighty, Fantastic Four 2, Ocean's 13, Rush Hour 3, AvP 2 (Movieweb has an Aug 10 date for this?), Shrek 3. Transformers also, but my expectations on that have dropped since seeing some of the cars being used for certain characters.

I haven't seen any yet.
Then again, I don't really care for going to the theater muchanymore. I'll definitely go see Superman and Clerks II (a few weeks after they open). I'll probably go see X3 at some point. Maybe Cars. I wait for the rest on DVD or HBO-HD.

Ouch, those are a whole lot of sequels. It kind of reminds me of the time when Ronald Reagan was making movies, a whole lot of sequels then.

I agree, I'm waiting for Superman. but that's what DVDs/Netflix are for. It's not like I have a backlog of 50 DVDs in my room... oh wait...
