CARLITO'S WAY Teaser

Hello friends!!!

Back in '93 when I went to see THE FUGITIVE, one of the trailers before the film was the CARLITO'S WAY TEASER. It was one of the greatest teasers I have ever seen if not the greatest IMO.

If anyone remembers, it starts out with a close-up of Pacino wearing sunglasses. The camera slowly pulls out as we hear soundbites from classic Pacino films. We eventually get to the soundbite from SCENT OF A WOMEN where Pacino says, "If I was the same man I was five years ago, I'd take a FLAME THROWER to this place!!" The camera stops pulling back and Pacino takes off the sunglasses to reveal himself to the audience. The screen goes black and we hear, "You think you big time?! You're gonna die big time!" Finally, we some some quick clips from the film.

As most of u know, Carlito's Way has been released 3x on dvd now and Universal has failed to put the teaser on any of them. It was never on the laserdiscs either. If someone can track it down on the internet for me, I'll be forever grateful. I've been looking on the interet for it for years, but keep coming up empty.

Probably a lot of rights issues surrounding those sound bites. No wonder it's never been released.

I have a copy of it (I believe) from E!'s coming attractions. it was shown every week, it seems.

Does anyone out there have this CARLITO'S WAY teaser on tape from when it was E! Coming Attractions? DIGITALFREAKNYC claimed he had on tape and said he would upload for me. I've waited 3 weeks now and he doesn't even respond to my IMs. Don't say u r going to do something and don't do it. If u r lazy, just say so.

Any help out there from anyone else would be much appreciated.
