Pac Man VS. on the Wii?

Kind of an odd question...I'm thinking of getting rid of my Gameboy Advance and Gamecube in anticipation of the DS Lite and Wii. However, the one game that is holding me back is the awesome Pac Man VS (For those who don't know, it's a game where you control Pac Man with the Gameboy while the other players control the ghosts on the Gamecube). I know the Wii will play Gamecube games, but is there any reason to think the Wii and DS will work together to be able to play this game? Thanks for any info/thoughts/etc.

Well, if you are talking about the Cube version it will play on the Wii the same way as on the Cube. However, I would love a new version for the Wii that worked with the DS.

So will the WII connect to the GBA/GBASP the same way the Gamecube did? Has this been verified?

You will use the same GBA to Cube cables you used on the Cube. All Cube accessories that fit in the controller ports or memory card slots will work on the Wii.

But the GBA-to-'Cube cable will not work with the DS or DS Lite, correct?

Meaning the OP will still have to hang on to his GBA to play the game.

That doesn't help this conversation at all. While we all expect the Wii & DS to communicate wirelessly, there's nothing to even suggest that the Wii will tunnel GC-GBA connectivity wirelessly to a DS. While technically possible, I'd say this is very far-fetched.

Hang on to your GBA and cable, that's the only hope you have.

I wouldn't lock them up as part of a collection. The longer you wait, the less they will be worth. They will eventually end up in a garage sale. Do you really want to nickle and dime foreigners offering 50 cents? Forget that bullshit. Get out while you still can.

I plan on getting a DS Lite, but I hate to hang on to my GBA for just one game. Oh well, I guess we'll see if more info comes out. Who knows, maybe they'll make it a download to work with the DS Lite.

Yeah, I could see Namco revisiting it for the Wii. That way they'd be able to do a full 4-ghost contingent. Would be nice if it was a $10 download or something. It really is a great party game and I can't imagine any group of 4 or 5 people not having a blast with it.

Pac Man Vs. is great fun, especially if you have non-gamers around.

Could you imagine the online possibilities of this game being ONLINE?

Having your own screen and everything! This quickly became my family's favorite game. Just with there were more mazes. Maybe Pac Man and Ms Pac Man vs 6 Ghost with linking 2 systems
