DVDPacific Storewide Sale June 1-15

Hi All!

DVDPacific is having a "Customer Appreciation" sale from June 1st to 15th (didn't see a previous topic about this, sorry if it's been posted).

Here's the link:
http://www.dvdpacific.com/Sale2006.asp

Customer Appreciation Sale Terms and Conditions

1. Sale will commence 12.01 am June 1st and end June 15th 11:59 pm (EST)
2. All products will be on sale excluding adult
3. Any title filled into an order/invoice during this period will be sold at sale price. E.g. Any in stock title will automatically be sold at sale price.
Also any back ordered title ordered during sale that comes into stock during sale period will also be shipped at sale price. Any pre ordered title ordered during sale period that fills will also be sold at sale price.
4. Any pre order or back order title that comes into stock after end of sale will automatically revert back to regular member's price.
5. Enjoy your shopping during our Customer Appreciation Sale!

EDIT: The sale started (June 1st EST) and apparently the sale isn't that great. Someone on another forum said that the sales is less than 5% off. Still, it's better than a kick in the beets!

Nothing to get too excited about, at this point at least.

Items seem to have come down in price about 6% or $1 for most items. Some have actually gone up. Hopefully there will be some real bargains in the following days.

So, if I order a DVD at the sale price and it goes OOS before my order can be filled, there's the potential that they'll ship it later and charge me full price???

Yes - and that's enough to make me skip the sale.

It states the following:

Any title filled into an order/invoice during this period will be sold at sale price. E.g. Any in stock title will automatically be sold at sale price.

So if you order something in stock then obviously it will be at sale price. If you order something not in stock and does not come into stock by end of sale then will not be at sale price.

I think someone posted in another thread that Sam's Club had it at this price...of course, it could be out of stock and you would pay tax + their surcharge. But you might check anyway if you're planning a trip (see the Sam's sale thread for some other bargains on box sets).

Otherwise, good find, Officer!

After checking out reviews for the film noir set and some reviews for the movies, it looks like a great buy.

Tennessee Williams Collection - 41.58
58.03 at DDD-even during the 20% off sale, it would be 46.43. Only a few bucks cheaper, but wouldn't have to wait for the sale.

that's the 4-disc set which gas a MSRP of $39.98.

During the holiday season, a lot of retailers had it in the $20 range but I think that most have increased it to regular price($30 range).

The 2-disc version has a MSRP of $19.99 and is $15 at most retailers.

But even with DVD Pacific's cheapest shipping, the total comes to $46.70.
