Amazon Summer TV on DVD Sale
Amazon has a somewhat decent sale going on now - some fairly good deals mixed in there...

Part of me soooooo wants some Highlander.
Which seasons are considered the best? I've probably asked this before. Tempting, very tempting...

Season 6 (actually a half-season) was even worse. It was blatantly obvious that they knew this was the last season of Highlander. Almost every episode seemed to feature a new female testing for the main role on what would become Highlander: Raven. Then there were the two episodes that Adrian Paul didn't even appear in. One that looked to be a test for a show featuring Joe & Methos, and one where no regular Highlander cast member appeared, as if they were doing a test episode to see if a whole new cast could be brought in.

Those are great Highlander prices. I remember when the series could only be bought from the company's website and cost a fortune. I've always meant to pick these up when the prices fell enough. This might be the time.

Amazon seems to have raised the prices on all of these sets, even though the prices are listed correctly when you click onto the link. Charmed Season 4 is now $37.99-I'm glad that I placed my order when it was still $30.97.

Wow. Got in a few hours ago and got Highlander Seasons 5 & 6 while it was still on sale. Now my Highlander Collection is complete again...
I think Amazon ought to post when these sales end. They seem to put them up and just pull them on a whim.
Sorry for those of you who missed out... I'm glad some of you were able to take advantage of this.

I would keep checking back to see if they reinstate the lower prices. Hopefully this is just a temporary glitch.
EDIT: It's not looking too promising. The higher prices are now listed on the sales page.

The Highlander sets arrived today but I was somewhat disappointed. I got them to replenish my Highlander Collection (the one with the collector's box). These sets were noticeably smaller than S1-4 since they were double packed - two discs on top of each other, rather than one per "page." Also Seasons 1-4 all have 1060 minutes of running time listed and Season 5 of the lower-priced set has only 864, although it is still a 9-disc set. Anyway, it fits okay in the collector's box - just not a tight fit - and the word MacLeod doesn't line up with the other 4...
A lot of information, but thought I would share in case anyone is getting this to go with prior sets... but I guess the important thing is having the complete series...
