Hitman: Blood Money

Who's gettin' it? I'm a big fan of the series and plan to get it for 360. Just downloaded the demo and the graphics look incredible.

I actually enjoyed the demo also....not sure if it's $60 good though. I'm not a big fan of STEALTH games though, but this seems a little more forgiving maybe, as I went run and gun in the demo.

I already have the game and beat it. I thought the previous Hitman games were ok but nothing special. Blood Money is really good though; it is the best in the series by far. The ending sequence is awesome, although it does end in a cliffhanger. I know a lot of people were turned off by the demo because it was so linear and tells you what to do all the time. That is just because the demo is the tutorial level. The full game is much more open ended, more so than even the previous Hitman games.

Hitman really isn't about stealth. It is more about blending in. For example, you can kill a guard and take his uniform, then you can walk around pretending you are a guard. You don't hide in shadows like Solid Snake or Sam Fisher. You can if you want go around killing everybody too. You can play Hitman however you want.

I'm very glad to hear the real game isn't like the demo--I too was really annoyed by constantly being told what to do and just pressing "A" over and over.

I try to be as stealthful (or to blend in) as much as possible, but inevitably at some point I just end up opening fire. I don't care about the Silent Assassin rating every time, and I play the game the way I get the most enjoyment out of it. Definitely picking this one up this week.

I'm hopefully going to be able to pick it up tomorrow. I tried to get it at Blockbuster today, and they told me that their release date is tomorrow. They haven't gotten it in yet, so I pre-ordered it and got the t-shirt.

CC have XBOX & PS2 version for $27.99 next week. I'll settle down for $30 instead $65 after taxes.

The Hitman series has always had great music. I found three of the songs from Blood Money available for download:

LOL, stuck already. How do you get back outside once you snipe the three guards in the first training mission at the amusement park?

I'm probably going to wait for a price drop before I pick this up. I enjoy the series, but the same flaws appear in every version. So it goes.

Asian version works on the US 360 for those that care ($39.90). Play-Asia is out of stock though.

Beat the game, good ending.

Spoiler:
If you wiggle the thumbstick as you're on your 'deathbed', you can get up and blow everyone away (it starts your last 'mission', leaving no witnesses). Good stuff.

I just got my first silent assassin rating, on the Opera House level.

47 dancing!

I just found out about a funny "easter egg" in Blood Money. If you go to any of the dance scenes/clubs, stand around the dancers for a minute without moving the controller. 47 will start to dance. He has a different dance depending on the club too.

How'd you do yours? I swapped the prop pistol from the actor and then dropped the lighting rig on the other dude when ran up to the stage to check on his buddy.

OK, help. How do you kill the shiek in the Casino board? I read online that after you drop off the DNA suitcase you have to fiber wire him right there, but as soon as I try to do it he runs away and the guards come in. Also if I try to walk out of the room after I drop the suitcase the level goes red and I get mey ass kicked

If you drop off the DNA case you have to wait a few minutes for a bodyguard to bring it upstairs and come back with the payment briefcase (you can't leave the area until he returns or you go on red alert). After that the sheik will leave and go up the staircase to the right where you can follow and kill him there (do this for Silent Assassin).

Or you can kill the scientist and South African dude on top of the elevators, go up to the scientist's room, redial the shiek with his cell on he table and take him out with the sniper rifle from the balcony when he goes up to the courtyard for better reception.

Thanks. I guess I didn't wait long enough for the suitcase transaction to complete.
