$4.88 DVD's Wal-Mart: Father's Day Sale

Wal-Mart is back at it again with the annual Father's Day $4.88 DVD sale. I saw a three tier stand today with many titles. Here's a list of the ones I remember seeing.

Lethal Weapon
Lethal Weapon II
Lethal Weapon IV
Last Boy Scout
Long Kiss Goodnight (Snapcase & Keepcase)
The Whole Ten Yards
Under Siege
Under Siege II
Swordfish
Blood Work
Gods & Generals
Gettysburg
Moneytalks
A Time to Kill
Rush Hour
Rush Hour II
European Vacation
Vegas Vacation
Terminator 3
Three Amigos
13 Ghosts
Memphis Belle
Heartbreak Ridge
Magnum Force
About Schmidt
Austin Powers:Goldmember
Last Man Standing
Sleepers
Turbulence
Boiler Room

Like I said there were a quite few titles to choose from. Most of the stuff have been in past $4.88 sales.

Terminator 3, FS or WS? I'd guess FS since that one only seems to be in this bargains at Wal-Mart.

I got the WS version at Sams Club for the same price the last time they had these sales (I think around Christmas). If that's an option, you could check there.

I think the time to finally own SWORDFISH has come. A TIME TO KILL is a flipper, right?

correct (on a time to kill)

PS:
I should think one could always pull a pricematch at a local Best Buy or Circuit City if it is FS only. I should think the WS/FS wouldn't be a big problem.
Certainly YMMV on that front, but it seems it'd be perfectly reasonable if you ask me.

Then even $4.88 is too steep...WB will do a 2-Disc Special Edition sometime before I die anyway...

Last time I tried to pricematch at Best Buy they said it had to be advertised in print, not an in-store special price.

I've been holding off for Gods and Generals for awhile. I bought Gettysburg cheap, but haven't watched it yet.

Thanks for the info.

Hope my Wal-Mart carries the sale. I want "Gettysburg" and "Gods & Generals".

Ah, yes, finally some discount Under Sieges. Now how long will it be after I buy them before Wal-Mart gets them in again in a $7.50 2-pack? Sounds like some of you guys missed the $7.50 Gettysburg/Gods & Generals 2-pack from a couple months ago unfortunately.

I have to replace my copy of Three Amigos too. I bought one during last year's $4.88 sale and didn't realize that it had a ding in it. Of course it messes up right at the ending.

As already stated, very few of these are new $4.88 titles (and some were $3.44 BF DVDs or part of 2 for $7.44 packs). Unfortunately last time I had already bought Gods & Generals and Gettysburg for about $6 each from DDD, so the $7.44 2-pack came along too late to help me. I guess if I don't lose a few bucks on each DVD I buy, then something feels odd.

Following that link, I guess Memphis Belle is the new version and not the old B&W William Wyler one.

The only 4 movies on the list I've never seen are: Money Talks, Sleepers, Turbulence, and Boiler Room. Judging by a quick reading of IMDB reviews of these, none of these 4 sound like I'd want to get them for $4.88. Even when they're cheap, I'm trying to avoid movies with a lot of bad language or adult situations.

The "Terminator 3"'s that I saw were 2-disc and widescreen at the Portland Oregon Walmart.

Funnny - Those are the two things I LOOK FOR when making a DVD purchase. I'd recommend picking up Deadwood..

Found it today in Scarborough, ME but of course Gettysburg is the only one I didn't see in there. There were four pallets, all of which seemed to be set up exactly the same, so I'll check back later in the week and see if someone just bought those already.
