DVD Talk review of 'Viridiana'
I read DVD Savant's DVD review of Viridiana at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=21521 and...
I'm somewhat dissapointed that the release is lacking in the video department and would have liked it to include more axtras, especially a commentary by a film scholar since none of his films in the Criterion collection have one, it would have been a no brainer for this one. It is considered to be his defining "masterpiece".
I'm still waiting for my copy to show up and was hoping I could give it a spin sometime over this holiday weekend.

Yes, I'm with you on this. This is THE FILM that opened my eyes to the power of cinema, and I am amazed that Criterion didn't use this release as an oportunity for a stunning transfer with loads of extra. ..... oh well, I'll pick it up anyway.
