Prices for old, sealed games

Hi guys,

I was wondering if anyone knew of an online source for looking up prices for old NES games and systems. I've looked at eBay and Amazon, but they aren't the best places to check, and I couldn't find much. Any ideas? Or does anybody have any idea how much these are worth, all sealed MISB and in perfect condition:

Star Wars (original game) for NES
Dr Waio for NES
Star Treak (original game) for Game Boy
Sealed, original Nintendo Famicom system

Thanks for the help

You probably won't get anything for the original sealed Famicom system, so I'll do you a favor and take it off your hands for say.......oh hell I'm feeling generous today, how about $20

I know you mentioned otherwise, but eBay is the best place to look. You aren't likely to get more than that anywhere else.

Just do a search for completed auctions rather than currently running auctions.

Note: Many "sealed" old games are just someone with a shrinkwrap machine, so buyers will be wary.

Thanks for the help. There is a Famicon MIB on eBay right now at about $75 after three days. Any one know how much that would probably end for?

Thanks

You're going to have to watch the auctions. Even then there is no guarantee that is what you'll receive. Each of those items are worth whatever someone is willing to pay.

By the way, what is Dr. Waio? Star Treak? I'm assuming those are typos.

You can try here. Just go to the online rarity guide, pick your system, and then enter the game name

Go to advanced search and select completed auctions.

eBay is the best place to look because that's a better estimate of what people are paying, not necessarily what they are worth, which in many cases, is a better gauge.

my friend's dad has a bunch of NES games still sealed (Metal Gear, Final Fantasy, etc) and I always wondered how much he could get for them. I can't believe that they're still sealed after all these years though!

Alot. How much depends on how good the condition of the box is. Metal Gear and Final Fantasy can easily go over $200 each if the condition is good enough. Some of the more obscure games aren't worth much sealed, it all depends though. Well known games like Mario, Zelda, Contra, Squaresoft RPGS, etc are worth their wait in gold if they are sealed.

I'll list some of the sealed games I have sold and how much i got for them.

Earthbound- SNES minor shelf wear - $260
Excite Bike- NES Some box crushing- $220
Super Mario 2- NES almost perfect - $150
Super Mario 3- NES almost perfect - $130
Mega Man X2- SNES Some box crushing - $130
Zelda Ocarina Gold- N64 Flawless- $230
Final Fantasy Tactics- PSX $130
Kirby Super Star - SNES Perfect- $100
Super Metroid player's choice- $100
Colecovision System- Some box wear- $550

Assorted lesser known NES games $15-$50
