Anime - New Trigun: Remix versions coming soon!

For those out there who enjoy this anime, I just ran in to this on Amazon, seems as though a remix version of vol.1 is coming out August 1st. I am sure the remaining 7 volumes will follow.

Aren't these single-disc releases of the grouped tin releases that just came out?

Yes, I think they are, since the tin releases were limited release. They changed the menus (now all disks have the same type of menu), and I think they put it on 6 disks, so there should only be 5 more coming out. Also, they changed the openings, as the original release didn't keep the original openings.

Supposedly not. I've heard that these new releases will have remastered audio and video whereas the tin releases only had remastered audio.

Interesting. Sucks for the folks who bought the tins.

Well, the extent of the video remaster is not yet known, obviously.
