WKW award-winning film Happy Together will get a deluxe dvd boxset release on 5/29 in HK for its 10th anniversary.

It will be a 2 dvd + cd set.

Disc 1 is the international version of the movie in HD and DTS 5.1.

Disc 2 is B.A. Zero Degree, the making of.

Both have Eng sub.

The soundtrack CD is remastered 24-bit OST with newly added film dialogue.

It will also have film posters, B.A. Zero Degree postcards and particularly the "waterfall lamp stand" as seen in the film.

The boxset is limited to 2046 sets.

I saw a local newspaper ad today about the release. It mentioned there will be a total of 6 WKW film dvd re-releases. The specially designed Happy Together dvd box will also be used to house those future re-releases.

Any word on if/when a more affordable paird-down release could be? Happy Together is probably my favorite of his films, and the current editions are rather "meh." My Artificial Eye disc with burned-in subs seemed like the lesser of all the available evils at the time.

Good to hear about the upcoming reissues, as well. Hopefully these are the long-rumored Wong Kar-wai approved transfers.
