Different director for the sequel, who obviously is more interested in doing commentary tracks than Zemeckis.
And yes, we need a decent release of Death Becomes Her.

Still my most favorite Zemeckis movie. Thanks for the news!

This is a fantastic film, but I am not so clear as of yet to wether I will be upgrading or not. Damn all these upgrades they are coming out with, it's crazy. Is this a sign of the pending HD-DVD/Bluray Hi-Definition revolution? The studios have got to be remastering all their films into Hi-Definition.

What the hell is wrong with me? I swear to God I had a dream last night where I ran into Michael Douglas and I was tempted to ask him if they were ever coming out with a better version of this movie. Now I wake up and here's the answer. Regardless of my mental issues/possible psychic powers, I held off on getting the original version and will gladly pick this up.

Oh this makes me SO happy
a small part of me hopes they fix the various gaffes throughout the film..
But other than that

Wooohoo! I am so glad both films are finally being re-released in 16x9! I cant wait to rewatch them. Romacing the Stone is one of Douglas' more fun films to watch over and over again.

A couple of weeks ago, I was just thinking about how I hadn't seen this film in a long time, and saw the DVD in a store. I checked the back, and since they didn't mention it was anamorphic, and the date was 1999, I knew I had to wait for a new transfer. Thankfully I don't have to wait long.
Hey, I haven't seen Big in a long time...

THANK you. Been holding out (on?) for "Death Becomes Her" for years. That full screen version out there now is crap. That is one hilarious underrated film.

Romancing the Stone is certainly welcomed as I sold off the crappy first release ages ago. I didn't care as much for the sequel, but I know there are many here who do. A slipcase to house the two dvds would be nice (along with a discounted price).
