Question: Jem Season 1 & 2

I recently purchased Jem and the Holograms: Season 1 & 2 and am having some concern that the product I received may not be authentic. The reason being, that the "Jem" lettering on the cover is not reflective, and the image of the set at DVDEmpire.com shows reflective lettering and my season 3 set also features reflective lettering. Were all season 1 & 2 sets supposed to have the reflective lettering? Also, the lettering along the spine, especially the "Rhino" label, is a bit fuzzy around the edges as it would be if printed on a personal printer. But of course, my main concern is based on the lack of reflective lettering. If anyone can provide some insight it would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Ooh, yeah I wouldn't trust most purchases from ebay or the new and used section at Amazon unless the seller has a track record for selling original region 1 merchandise. If you have your doubts on the legitimacy of the item, I would go through amazon and try to get your money back.

from the marketplace? you probably got a bootleg. the amazon marketplace is like the new ebay. full of bootlegs. i got a criterion collection hard-boiled bootleg from there but the guy refunded me when i complained about it. he didn't want any trouble from me.

amazon has a guarntee on refunds so if the seller doesn't refund you, amazon will refund you themselves. i thinkt hey have a refund guarantee for 3 purchases. you have to file a report 30 days after purchase, i think.

So is the majority decision: no reflective lettering = no valid jem? Any owner's of a non-reflective Jem set, who perhaps purchased at Best Buy, etc. who wish to voice a dissenting opinion...

I bought a copy of this at Best Buy for resale purposes when it went out of print last year. There were copies of the second set on the shelf as well and the presentation style was very similar (shiny logos).

Does your copy include the episode guide booklet?
