Actually, that's an error and it's an IDE drive as reported by the people who have already received their orders. The email confirmation also says EIDE.

damn, just checked my confirmation email and it shows eide
but for my intended use that won't matter, infact it might allow me to end up finding a use for my usb enclosure

The bigger problem is that 300GB 16MB buffer IDE hard drives were available a couple months ago for $80. I got one and it was right on the edge of being a good deal.
