I'm officially sick of the Barney character.
Why would a girl fall for that?
Did he actually have them call real paramedics just for that stunt?

If you were paying attention, he thanks the two "paramedics" by name. And, then, he tells the people to check them out at the local playhouse, because they're really quite good.

So, no... he didn't call real paramedics. He hired to actors.

It was still stupid even if it was fake paramedics.
Why would a girl give a guy her number for that?

Anyone really worried that they were gonna think Robin was less hot just because she got bad highlights?

Ted should have demanded to see breasts, though.

Amusing episode, would have liked to have seen the "perfect" girl though. Kind of cold of Ted to ditch her after she was kind enough to rearrange the plans.

This was one of the better episode just because it flowed pretty well. Gawd, Robin looked pretty awesome in the wedding sequence.

I liked Marshall's reaction to Ted at the end, that was the same one I had.

The waitress was also in on it. He thanked her at the end. Remember, she's the one that "called" 911.

That hat did a bad job of making her look silly. I thought she looked better than ever. Then again I may be biased.

I think so, she went off and did the breeders, and Frank Black went off and did some solo stuff(which his one album was great, just to add that). And i don't know enough about the pixies to tell you about anyone else.

And I give Marshall a huge for countering that with "Or Kim Gordon of Sonic Youth".

Same here. I was pissed we didn't get to meet this perfect girl either. At least show her face or something.

Funny episode and Robin looked so hot it isn't even funny. I think she may be my favourite girl on TV right now.

I liked it, especially the usage of Roxy Music's Mother of Pearl at the end.
About Ted being annoying, yeah he is a bit annoying but in that "hearing your own voice on a tape recorder" kind of way. He's a bit of a weenie and deep down we're all a bit of weenies, I mean we are posting on the internet about a TV show

All right, here's the skinny about Kim Deal and The Breeders. Kim first recorded with The Breeders while Pixies were still together, making the great album Pod, in which Tanya Donnelly (formerly of Throwing Muses and Belly but now solo) played on as well. But upon Pixies breaking up, Kim went to The Breeders full time, where she played guitar not bass. For Last Splash, their most popular album, Kim's twin sister Kelley joined the band to play bass (I believe she actually joined just prior for an EP). When Kelley's drug problems started getting out of hand, she went off and did her own gig, The Kelley Deal 6000. And Kim went ahead and recorded another album, but this time rather than being called The Breeders it was recorded under the name The Amps. But Kelley has since rejoined with her sister, and The Breeders recorded another album.

As for Frank Black, he has made several solo projects, the most recent being last year's country-tinged album Honeycomb, which was recorded using legendary Nashville studio musicians. He has recorded under his stage name Frank Black and also as Frank Black and The Catholics. He is currently working on another solo album from what I've heard, while a new Pixies album has been rumored since their 2004 reunion is in limbo.

As for the other Pixies members, the drummer Dave went on to become a professional magician after the band broke up, while lead guitaritst Joey went on to his own project, The Martinis, and has also done the music for some movies and TV shows, the most recent that I can think of being the Showtime series Weeds.

Anyone who hasn't listened to Pixies should definitely give them a try. They are probably my all-time favorite band and can't recommend them enough. It sometimes takes some people a little time to get into them though, but their music has really influenced a lot of bands, most notably Nirvana.

Any other questions about them, just ask me. This is one of the first times here that I can remember being able to use my obsession with Pixies and all the band members to my advantage.

Honestly that is such a dickhead move that Ted pulled that I am now hoping he dies, and that he is actually telling this story from hell to his kids he never had as a punishment. The twist is he dies in his old age never able to find anyone to marry his ass. You at least meet the girl and have your date. You don't stand her up after rescheduling. I know it's just a sitcom, but that infuriated me.
