I really don't believe they think these things through before announcing them. That's just like BB doing the Reward Zone Promotion for 360s back in December........[Napoleon]Idiots[/Napoleon]

I missed Nintendo's press conference last year because of finals, but luckily this time I don't have any scheduled for Tuesday. I can't wait to see what they're rolling out this year.

If I'm not mistaken, both Nintendo.com and GameSpot.com are going to broadcast it live for free also. GameSpot has already said the 300k stream would be free for everybody, but the 700k stream would be for subscribers only. If you go to e3.nintendo.com it says "come back on May 9th for live coverage of Nintendo’s press event." It looks like we'll have several video streams to choose from.

Haha...add 1up.com to the ever growing list of sites who are offering free streamig video of Nintendo's press conference.
http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3150391
So that's GameTrailers, GameSpot, and 1up that are for sure streaming it free.

Correct.
Nintendo firmly believesv (and correctly IMO) in "getting the message out" as clearly as possbile to people about the Wii. This is on serious step in that direction as Nintendo will be subsidizing the coverage through many outlets. Nintendo is hopeing to minimize the communication error and bias that often appears in later coverage type of scenarios.

I'll try it out and see if it works. I never tried going ot gametrailers at work because the gov't firewall blocks tons of sites at work and I figured it would be among those. Though it being in the middle of the day helps so I can eat lunch while watching it . But I agree, there will be millions of people watching it so I'm not expecting to be able to see it, I'll just download it later.

Gamespot is broadcasting all the press conferences of the big three this year for free. I also thought I heard that G4 would be running them live (which would be the most ideal thing IMO), but I don't see that on the schedule so I could be wrong.
