Six weeks of Film Noir double features at NYC's Film Forum
The Film Forum is presenting an amazing line-up that includes some well-known titles, along with many that have slipped through the cracks. With a different double-feature virtually every day between now and mid-June, this is probably one of the few times that many of these have been on a big screen since their initial release.
Complete schedule and movie info here:

Just looking through the first week, I see three titles that are personal favorites.
THE WELL
THE WINDOW
REIGN OF TERROR
Since it will be impossible to see them all, if anyone has comments (good or bad) about some of the lesser-known titles, that would be helpful.

DVD Talk Gold Edition
marty888, I apologize for the off-topic post (while also regretting that I can't be of any help as to your inquiry), but clicking around the Film Forum site the title that jumped out to me was Jean-Pierre Melville's newly restored "Army of Shadows". I'm guessing then that we can expect a coming Criterion release (hopefully not too far down the road). While I've never seen the film, I most certainly would like to.

Just saw a trailer for Army of Shadows, due here (Chicago) on May 26... very interesting.
Anyway, looks like a great list. And I was wondering if Murder by Contract would be included; and it is! Saw it a few years ago... it's like a hitman procedural (starring Vince Edwards as the impassive gunner).
