Near Dark is definitley worth it - a memorable genre picture with a extra-laden DVD to boot.

Puppet Master vs. Demonic Toys, Nick Knight (the movie that was the pilot for the series Forever Knight), and several other good ones in this sale. Gonna give Near Dark a blind buy at that price.

Oh my, the Kentucky Fried Movie is part of this sale! That's probably the best blind buy you'll ever make at that price.

Why is it that they have some sales that use the 50/page form and then they have these others that have only like 10/page? Do they do it with the smaller ones to make it look like they have more on sale?

CAN'T STOP THE MUSIC is a steal at $4.99. It's probably the best musical Bruce Jenner has ever done.

Let me also recommend Inferno if you liked Suspiria and Argento. Granted not as good as Suspiria, but it's alike in ways.

Near Dark 2-disc is a freaking steal!

I'd recommend "The Church" for Argento as well. Now if only they'd throw in "Demons" and "Opera", I think I'd be set.

I recommend "Downtown". I used to watch this movie all the time when it came out. Its a cop comedy in which Anthony Edwards (with hair) plays a new white cop going into a "rough" inner-city precinct with Forest Whitaker as his partner. Joe Pants is in there too.

On the off chance that anyone is a cheese movie fan and planned on getting Elvira, Return of the Killer Tomatoes, Return to Horror High and Sleepaway Camp, remember that you can get all 4 plus Vamp and Transylvania 6-5000 in the Campy Classics Fright Pack for $21.26.

Also, the $4.99 titles The Church, Fear No Evil, To The Devil A Daughter and Antichrist are available in the Devil Made Me Do It Fright Pack along with Hell Night and Curse of the Devil, also priced at $21.96.

Unless you're severely strapped for cash, it's worth the extra couple bucks to get two more movies and the neat box that they come in.

Wow, they have C.H.U.D.

And the Stuff and Philadelphia Experiement.

I remember seeing those movies on TV when I was a Kid and there were only 12 channels.

Awesome sale! I already have the ones that I'd be interested in....
Cat O'Nine Tales
C.H.U.D.
Circus of Horrors
Parasite
Sleepaway Camp
Inferno
The Church
Kentucky Fried Movie
The Stuff

But I'm considering:
Transylvania 6-5000

I seem to remember enjoying BLACK MOON RISING way back in the '80s but haven't seen it since..even at $4.99, I wish I could rewatch it again to see if it still holds up before buying it...

Are these $4.99 DVDs part of a short term promotion (like the Paramount and Fox sales) or are these the normal price? Since these don't say "sale ends on..." I was thinking maybe these are normal prices.

In other words, when the next 20% off sale hits will these still be $4.99 - 20% or is the price going to jump back up more than 20%?

Project X was a childhood favorite of mine...I wonder how it stands up now...For $4.99, I think I'll pick it up!

I think there's a mix in there. For example, adding Neon Maniacs to my cart brings the message:

"This item is a price-drop. It will ship to arrive on or around the scheduled
release date."

However, there are also things there like Ruckus, which was recently announced to be OOP, so that clearly isn't getting a drop. I think there's a mix.

Hmm... The first two movies I looked up on IMDB were in the bottom 100 ratings list... Definitely a lot of 80's camp here...

Damn, my wallet almost escaped this sale unscathed. However, I noticed Dario Argento's The Cat O'Nine Tails, which I do not have yet. The Stuff is tempting in a so-bad-its-good way. I don't remember C.H.U.D. all that fondly, but it has been a long time too.

For Hammer fans, Christopher Lee fans, or those who just want to see a lot of full-frontal Nastassja Kinski nudity, may I recommend To The Devil A Daugther.
