Prision Break Season 1 --> August 8

head over to Tvshowsondvd for all the info.

I've been waiting for this set, cause I havn't seen any episodes since they started back up again, and I can't wait to see what happens. Plus those are ALOT of special features to look forward to as well.

August is churning up some good releases. This along with ROME: S1, hell man I'll be busy revisiting both!

I didn't watch any of the episodes on tv, because I wanted to wait and watch it on dvd. That way I wouldn't have to wait a week between eps.

i do the same thing with Sopranos...but it kills me because everyone talks about that all the time. Prison break does have some cliff hangers at the end of their episodes so you did the right thing. Can't wait for this set

See the thing about the cliffhangers every week and such, is that I love that! I love being involved with a show and having to wait that week, and having the year spread out over the course of the year. It's actually a much different experience especially with shows that have been on for years. Like my experience with Buffy the VAmpire Slayer, Angel, Roswell, and Dawson's Creek. I watched all those shows from the pilot to the series finale when they aired, and now over the course of a single school year I have rewatched them all with my college friends (college can get boring on the weekends). While they all like the show, they didn't get to invest in them cause we watched like a season a week... I don't know there's pro/cons to each.

I can't believe how many extras they packed in. I would have bought this if it was just the episodes, but now I'm really excited. August does look like a really good month for releases.

No Wentworth Miller commentary? He's the star of the show.

A lot of the times the 'star' of the shows don't do commentaires (look at "buffy/angel")... he probaly wasn't availble durring the week they recorded the commentaries or something

I'm all over this one. Just as with Lost, I didn't get interested in the show until I'd been hearing hype about how good it was a month or so into the season. I always managed to miss the reruns as well. Now I just have to avoid spoilers for another few months.

cool. I've only seen about half of the season, starting a few episodes before they had the long break.

If you are a 24 fan, then you'll probably like it. I think that some moments and plot twists are far more unrealistic and silly than anything on 24, which is saying something because 24 isn't exactly known for its true-to-life nature (I'm saying this as a big fan of 24, so no hating!). But Prison Break is just one of those entertaining, almost-guilty pleasures for me. I don't think it deserved all of the hype that it got, but it's still a good show.
