News for Desperate Houswives, Grey's Anatomy, & Lost Seaosn 2
From USA Today
If you can't just get enough of the hysteria on Wisteria Lane, the housewives hit DVD shelves with The Complete Second Season - Extra Juicy Edition. Aaran Neville's familiar croon also comes to stores.
Television
DVD ABC hits get 'extra juice'
Teri Hatcher gets more family time in the upcoming Desperate Housewives: The Complete Second Season — Extra Juicy Edition DVD. The six-disc set (in stores July 29, $60) includes an unaired story line starring Hatcher's character Susan Mayer, her mom (Lesley Ann Warren) and stepdad (Bob Newhart), as well as other deleted scenes and extras.
More box sets devoted to ABC's prime-time series are on the way. Grey's Anatomy: The Complete Second Season — Uncut (Sept. 12, $60) has three extended episodes with footage deemed too steamy for TV. In addition to "lost," unaired flashbacks, the seven-disc Lost: The Complete Second Season — The Extended Edition (Oct. 3, $60) promises an interactive matrix for exploring the connections between various characters and numbers.

I think the bad edition names are basically ABC's way of getting people to buy the sets, thinking that the episodes are completely different from the ones they saw on TV...
My major grip is with the cover art, I like the picture, but I think "season two" and "extra juicy edition" should switch places, just so it doesn't look TOO cheap

wow, all of those are pretty bad. I just don't see the need to put a giant "UNCUT" on Grey's anatomy or "Extended Experience" for Lost. Because this going to cause more TV shows to jump on the crappy naming bandwagon.

Some longer episodes of season 2 of Grey's Anatomy? SOLD. I don't even need a cover to buy that. That thrills me no end. I thought I would hate this show too. Boy, I was wrong on that.
I will probably get Lost too, but I will wait until it can be had for cheap.

JULY?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
*squeals like a 18 year old girl having her first orgasm*
I really like that cover. It's a hell of a lot sexier than the last one. However, I feel it's lacking without Betty, even though she's the "new kid on the block."

ReduxGuy, USA Today was incorrect with the DH date; it's August 29 (July 29 is a Sat).
I hope the ugly artwork is just some temp art that Disney released. We know it isn't finished since they don't sport the logos on them. Disney has also started making two versions of their art; one that's the real, legit art, and another one that looks ugly and is supposed to be used when the artwork appears in an ad (since "The Complete ___ Season" can't be read when it appears very small). We covered this in an article about Scrubs (http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/newsitem.cfm?NewsID=5305) but it applies to all their titles.
