Where's the love for Duck Season?

For a film that has an 89% fresh rating over at Rotten Tomatoes, I am surprised this isn't getting much love (or any at all) on this board at all. Hell, this film has pretty much been released mostly under the radar. Has anybody even checked this out during it's (very limited) theatrical release yet?

I saw the flick today in a completely empty theater and I highly enjoyed it. While it wasn't the film I expected to see coming in (the trailer is fairly misleading), it surprised me more than anything. Unlike most other films made apart of the teen genre, it's a fairly simple (yet moving) film involving how two teenage boys pass the time on a boring Sunday afternoon (a majority of the film takes place in real time) and the few people they interact with during their day. There's not much plot or story in Duck Season, but the movie is worth checking out due to it's involving character development.

While the film suffers a few huge problems (it takes too long to get started and there's a very heavy-handed handled subplot involving homosexuality that feels unnecessary), it's definately worth a watch when it hits DVD (considering most will not be able to see it in the theater).

I loved this movie - a what if 'Bunuel' had done a contemporary comedy kind of film.

If Cuaron is "presenting" it, I'll give it a shot if it shows up at a nearby theatre.

I am most likely going to this on Friday before it goes out of the theater. It's getting a quick 1 week run here and I'd like to see it. Seems to be in my interests.
