Phantom of Opera 2 disc 13.46 @ Amazon

Amazon has it and it's cheaper than the one disc. If anyone's interested:

I could have been, cause I never got this DVD. But now that an HD DVD of it is out, my interest in paying for an inferior version is reduced to the point I won't buy it. Even though I don't plan to buy HD DVD, at least for awhile. This is exactly the kind of effect I expected. It's hard for me to justify paying for something once a better version of the same thing exists. So I'll wait. For when I get Blu-ray or HD DVD.

The reviewer over at Avs says that the hd-dvd Phantom is the inferior version, especially in the sound department.

The dialogue problem on the hd dvd can be fixed by turning dialog enhancement in the player on. That stilll leaves the entire mix at least -10db lower than expected and Im not sure how faithful it is to the theatrical mix.

I wouldn't be surprised to hear Warner offering replacement HD discs with corrected audio. I'd still say that the HD version is superior, even with the audio problems because of the better picture quality. Of course having both would be the best situation.
