View Full Version : Selling DirecTV receiver: Should I include the card?

I nearly tripped over an old DirecTV receiver in my garage, so I figured I'd at least try moving it on eBay. It was one of my original three I purchased when I first got the service a couple of years ago, but it was eventually replaced by a DirecTivo.

Question: if I sell it, should I sell it with the card? Does that matter? Does it still have my data on it? Is it useless?

No, leave out the card. That's for the buyer to provide.

They will need to get the card from Direct TV anyway and since the original is tied to you you probably don't want to let someone else have it.

No card.

You don't know if the buyer is shady.

Just be sure to put "no card included" in the auction.

There ya go.
